This milestone marks the first coordinated national effort to align technical guidance, standards, and industry practices for the galvanizing sector in Canada.
Following this meeting, the Committee established a Task Group with a clear and structuring mandate. Its role is to consolidate key information, identify gaps in current practices and specifications across jurisdictions, and contribute to defining the strategic direction. The Committee will then lead the coordination of priorities, including the advancement of guidance, the alignment of specifications and codes, and future development initiatives.
Thank you to the Task Group Chair, Nafiseh Ebrahimi (NRC), as well as to its contributors, Marjorie Ramirez Ortega (MTMD-QC) and Éric Michaud (Corbec), for this excellent start.
Work is already underway, with a clear focus on defining scope, identifying direction, and consolidating the information required to support a coherent national approach.
This represents an important step toward establishing national leadership and a more consistent Canadian approach to galvanizing across our infrastructure. The level of engagement at this stage is remarkable and very encouraging. Real Momentum is building.
